Easter Egg Roll Off ......

The 1st off the years Bank Holiday 10 time trials on the Levens circuit L1015 is just a small reminder that summer is just around the corner.
Today's TT event was hosted by Lancaster CC who always put on an excellent event, which attracts a strong field of riders from
around the county.
KVRC riders included Tim Bennett, Andrew Barlow, Greame Mckee and Campbell West who were all very thankful of the dry light wind conditions, after the previous days weather.
The time trial was eventually taken by James Gullen of Pedal Heaven with a superb time of 19:26, with KVRC junior George Warton placing 6th overall and Campbell West taking 9th.

Round 6 of the Lake & Lancs Spoco series see's KVRC's team of riders take to the hilly Lazonby circuit L202 north of Penrith.

KVRC riders Tim Bennett, Duncan Orme, Andrew Barlow & Campbell West all put in excellent
performances considering the unfavorable time trial conditions earning the club more points in the series.

Wet & Wild Club Run

Tick Tock and the change of the clock didn't deter KVRC members from heading out in to the wet and wild conditions for the weekly Sunday club run.
Meeting up at the usual 9am Sunday spot, the brave team headed out through the rolling roads of Old Hutton towards Middleton before heading towards Sedbregh.
The No6 Cafe in Sedbregh gave a welcome warm rest bite before heading around the Circuit of Wild Boar Fell, in the cold hostile wet conditions.

A Grand Day Out !

Spring is in the air and today felt finally like spring had awoken, with the slight chill of morning and the overnight dew giving way to fine blue sky's and warm crisp sunshine.
The ethos of the club run remains the same as it did in 1928 and is about inclusion for all. With
Sunday being time for KVRC members to get together, chat and enjoy the roads of the South Lakes, putting aside the daily grind of the weeks work and enjoying the simpler pleasures in life.
Today's wheels rolled out in the same fashion that it did all those years ago on a route bound for a quality cafe, the buzz the enjoyment of friends being together, made even more special today having Cycling Weekly with us.

Seconds out !!! Round 4 Ding Ding....

Round four of the L&L Spoco series saw KVRC's members Pete Thomas, Phil Shaw, Duncan Orme and Campbell West take to the Circuit of Inglebrough.  Sadly the circuit had to be slightly shortened due to road works near the Ribble Viaduct, making for a less dramatic high speed finish to the what should have been a 27 mile time trial.
The milder conditions today gave for good racing through some spectacular classic Yorkshire scenery, giving the feeling spring is finally here.
KVRC's team of four put in fantastic efforts all round earning yet more club points in the series, and earning extra early season racing miles.
On the road racing front KVRC's Gemma Sargent and her Aprire/HSS team had another successful day at Salt Ayre criterium in the E,1,2,3 crits.
